Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about PDFForge tools, privacy, and how everything works.

01 General

Yes, all tools on PDFForge are 100% free to use with no hidden costs, no subscription required, and no account needed. We support the site through non-intrusive advertising.
No. PDFForge requires no account, no email, and no signup of any kind. Just open the tool and use it immediately.
There is no daily limit. You can process as many files as you want, as many times as you want — completely free, forever.

02 Privacy & Security

Your files never leave your device. All PDF processing happens directly in your browser using JavaScript. We have no servers that receive, store, or process your documents. Not even we can see your files.
No. PDFForge never adds watermarks to your processed files. What you download is clean, unbranded, and professional.
No. Since all processing is local, we have nothing to store or share. We only collect anonymous usage analytics (page views, tool usage counts) to improve the site — no personal data, no file content.

03 Technical

Since processing happens in your browser, the practical limit depends on your device's available RAM. Most modern browsers handle files up to 100–200 MB comfortably. Very large files may be slow on older devices.
PDFForge works on all modern browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We recommend using the latest version for best performance. Internet Explorer is not supported.
Yes! PDFForge is fully responsive and works on smartphones and tablets. Processing large files on mobile may be slower due to limited RAM compared to desktop computers.
Some PDFs are password-protected, corrupted, or created with non-standard tools. Try: (1) unlocking the PDF first using our Unlock PDF tool, (2) using a different browser, (3) ensuring your browser is up to date. If issues persist, contact us.
You need an internet connection to initially load the tool page and its JavaScript libraries. Once loaded, some tools may work if your connection drops — but for the best experience, stay connected.

04 Tools & Features

PDFForge currently offers 23 PDF tools covering merging, splitting, compressing, rotating, converting (Word, JPG, Excel, PowerPoint), watermarking, protecting, and more. We regularly add new tools.
