Extract specific pages from a PDF and save them as a new file. Choose page numbers or ranges. Free, and processed entirely in your browser.

Pick the pages you want, as a range like 3-7 or as individual numbers, and save them as a new PDF. The pages keep their layout, text and images. Use the page count of your PDF viewer rather than printed page numbers, and use Split PDF instead when you want many separate files.

Good to know

  • Use a page range (e.g. 3-7) for a contiguous chunk, or individual page numbers for scattered selections.
  • Extract first, then compress if the resulting file is still larger than expected.
  • Double-check page numbers against the PDF viewer's count, not the printed page numbers, since they can differ.
  • Extracted pages keep their original formatting but lose any document-level bookmarks that pointed outside the selection.
  • Not meant for splitting into many separate files at once — use Split PDF for that.
  • Form field values on extracted pages are preserved but any related fields on non-extracted pages are lost.

Troubleshooting

  • The pages came out in a different order than I typed: Selected pages are always output in ascending numeric order (1, 3, 5…), regardless of the order you typed them in the range field — this tool can't reorder pages, only select which ones to keep.
  • "No valid pages entered": Page numbers must be within the document's total page range — check the total shown after upload and re-enter your range (e.g. "1-3, 7").
  • "Failed to extract pages": The source PDF may be corrupted or password-protected. Try Unlock PDF or Repair PDF first.
