Stays in your browser

Processing runs on your own device. Your files are not uploaded to a server, so private documents stay private.

Open a PDF and read it page by page with zoom controls, right in your browser. It is a read-only viewer, so use PDF Editor if you need to add text and Annotate PDF for notes and comments.

How it works

Upload a PDF and view it directly in your browser — page by page, with zoom controls. The file is rendered entirely on your device using the pdf.js library and is never uploaded anywhere.

Good to know

  • Works with any standard PDF, including scanned documents.
  • Use the zoom controls to read small text more comfortably.
  • Very large files (several hundred MB) may render slowly on phones or older computers.

Troubleshooting

  • "Could not open this PDF. It may be corrupted or password-protected": If it's password-protected, use Unlock PDF first, then reopen the unlocked file here. If it's corrupted, try Repair PDF instead.
  • Pages take a long time to render: Very large or image-heavy PDFs are rendered entirely in your browser — a lower zoom level or a faster device will render pages more quickly.
  • Text looks blurry when zoomed in: This can happen briefly while a page re-renders at the new zoom level — give it a moment, or zoom in smaller increments.
  • The viewer doesn't remember where I left off: This is a read-only, in-browser viewer without saved sessions — reopening the file starts back at page 1.
